Women's Health and Well-being Hub

The WHWH program is one of the most successful physical exercise and healthy eating programs for women and girls for the past 13 years. Hundreds of women and girls from different ethno-cultural backgrounds are engaged and learned from this program activities.

Aerobics and yoga classes offer a fun-filled exercise session for an hour led by qualified instructors. It followed by a healthy food demonstration session runs for an hour where women receive different healthy recipes including valuable information about the ingredients and tips on healthy eating.

Women greatly enjoy this affordable, accessible and culturally appropriate program. Therefore, they often refer their friends and families to join this exciting program. Furthermore, this program generates a place for women to meet other women; giving them the opportunity to expand their social network and to taste new recipes.

“I really enjoy the Zumba classes. I feel like I am connecting with women from all over the world under one great common goal: to stay healthy. The exercises, the music, the participants, the instructor all bring their own ethnicity creating this rich environment and sense of unity. I want to thank MIAG for this wonderful and creative initiative that has made happy so many of us."

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for these fitness classes restarted. Having attended these classes for some time now I find them to be very good for my general well- being and exercise regime, and I can relate to the competent instructors who are hired to teach this program. The food demo classes also increase the interest of participants as it teaches us to prepare & eat healthy food.

Thanks MIAG for your commitment towards women of all ages thus enabling us to be part of this program, it has motivated me to be more active, and I find that by attending these Zumba & Aerobic classes plus taking note of the healthy food tips my cardio routine and overall health and wellness has improved.”

- Participant - L.R.

“I really enjoy this program; the facilitators are so welcoming and friendly. I find it is very hard to be active these days and being a single mom of 3, I am tired. After the Zumba I feel really good. I feel like I did something for myself that was a great benefit. I find it very hard to get motivated to exercise on my own. This class helped me start a new change to become a healthier person/mom. I use the health tips very often and share them with everyone I know. Thank you so much!”
