ECCW: Counselling Services

Ethno-cultural Communities Well-being (ECCW) Project

Counselling Services

MIAG has established partnership with several agencies to which referrals are sent. Our intake worker assesses the clients' needs and completes the necessary referral forms, directing them to the appropriate counsellor based on their specific requirements. Additionally, we offer support to clients by connecting them to community resources and services, including but not limited to food banks, legal aid, and social support programs. These services may be provided through phone, virtual, or in-person counselling sessions. This is offered free of charge and is open to all residents of the Peel region.

We recognize that each person is different and has unique social, physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological needs. Each person has also innate abilities, strengths and skills for survival. The services that are referred from MIAG incorporate the person’s strengths, preferences, needs and aspirations into the support plan. Clients receive services that are client centred and meet their needs.
