WALKING – The Activity of a Lifetime

“Walking Activity of Lifetime” booklet is a handy tool that emphasizes on embracing walking as a regular activity in life. There are almost as many reasons to walk as there are people who walk. People walk for pleasure, to stay in shape or manage their weight. Families explore the outdoors by walking together. Some people use walking as therapy for injured muscles or trouble feelings. People walk to explore, take a break, find adventure or get from here to there. Pedometer is introduced in this booklet as a tool to record and track steps on daily basis. MIAG translated this booklet into five languages: Arabic, Chinese, Punjabi, Somali and Spanish.

Keeping the Culture Alive

Keeping the Culture Alive booklet series has been designed to reinforce the importance of culture, language and tradition in the lives of our children. It has been designed to include songs and stories from various countries as well as to include some child-rearing information for parents/caregivers. Songs have been sectioned off under different languages that are spoken by each specific culture. General parenting tips are found after the songs and at the end of the book.
