This family program offers FREE skills enhancement training for parents and caregivers from diverse communities and their children, on a variety of family and parenting-related topics. The children's program is led by a children's specialist who will focus on helping children further develop their social skills through fun games and activities.

‘Parenting for Success is offered in each of the following languages: English, Arabic, Spanish, and Mandarin Virtually VIA Zoom Wednesdays from 6:00-8:00 PM on the following dates for eight weekly sessions.

Parenting for Success and Children's Activities Program Start Dates :

English Round: July 12, 2022 - August 30, 2022

Arabic Round: October 13, 2022 to December 1, 2022

Spanish Round: February 2, 2023 - March 23, 2023

Mandarin Round: March 29, 2023 to May 17, 2023

ALL CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS ARE IN ENGLISH

Workshops for parents will be delivered by professionals on a variety of topics that include:

• Introduction to children’s mental health
• The school system and parent-school engagement
• ADHD and providing support for children with learning challenges
• Parenting through conflict and having difficult conversations
• Overuse and misuse of screen technologies by kids and teens
  
  

Children will learn to further develop their social skills through fun activities lead by a children’s educator on the following topics:

• Conflict resolution skills and effective communication skills 
• Developing self-esteem 
• Personal safety
• Inclusion vs. exclusion 
• Cyber-awareness 
• Mental Health awareness 
• Self-awareness
• Friendships and social supports
