With over 15 years of invaluable experience in health, community development, and empowerment, Kerri is a dedicated professional committed to fostering positive change and growth. Kerri holds degrees in Nutrition as well as Homeopathic Medicine Health Sciences. Her primary focus on women’s health and development has always been part of her private practice and her passion for empowerment and community development led her to the non-profit sector. At MIAG for over 5 years Kerri brings her knowledge, experience, and expertise to various organizational programming’s. Her professional certification in Personality Dimensions brings innovative diversity and inclusion trainings to the corporate and non-profit sector through MIAG’s Training Unit.

Sangeeta Raina brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in advocating for women and gender equity, with expertise in marginalized populations. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, understanding multifaceted barriers to employment, education, and well-being. Sangeeta firmly believes in each individual's unique talent and the need for inclusion, respect, and value. Her unwavering dedication actively promotes empowerment through experiential learning, contributing to a more equitable world for women and communities.

Our BEW Outreach In Peel!

The Bridge to Employment for Women program in Peel is designed to prepare women with the necessary employment skills for the Canadian job market.


The BEW program combines 4 weeks of skills enhancement and capacity building hybrid (online and in person) learnings with an 8 week career developing (in person) co-op placement.


Through interactive team building “break out rooms”, inclusive discussions and empowering leadership presentations, this program takes a holistic approach to career development where women can come together to learn about areas of job search and employment in ways that enhance and develop confidence and skills.


Co-op placements give women Canadian work experience by connecting them to areas of employment based on interest, skill set, experience, education and industry demand. Areas have included but not limited to: IT, hospitality, finance, human resources, health/wellness and design


The Bridge to Employment for Women includes in its approach: networking events as well as one to one mentorship for the participants. Wrap around supports available include programs specializing in: Mental health and Wellness, Parenting, as well as Exercise and Healthy Lifestyle.


Program acceptance requirements include:

Pre program questionnaire

Admissions meeting with Project Coordinator

Region of Peel resident (Mississauga, Brampton or Caledon)

Currently not employed

Commitment to 4 weeks of online and in person classes

Commitment to 8 weeks of in person co-op placement

Women only regardless of status

Canadian Language Benchmark Level 4
