Volunteer Board Members Opening
MIAG Centre for Diverse Women & Families is a charitable community-based organization with more than 35 years of experience in community programs and services in Peel region. It strives to enhance the inclusion and development of diverse communities by building individual and group capacity through empowerment, innovation, and partnerships.
Currently, MIAG is recruiting a dynamic, committed, and experienced board member to serve on the Board level. We accept applications for the following positions:
MIAG board members are expected to share their experience and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: policy development, program management, financial sustainability, fundraising, volunteer management, and organizational leadership.
Qualifications:
✓ Knowledge of Peel region dynamics, challenges, and resources.
✓ Professional experience, education and/or training in one or more of the following areas: Organizational Planning, Leadership, Community Development, Networking and Collaboration, Community Advocacy, Law, Fundraising, and Financial Management.
Commitments:
✓ Attend board meetings once in two months (2 hours in the evening from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.) sharing knowledge and expertise.
✓ Participate in sub-committees (if interested)
