It is repeated for six times including 15 participants in each course and using 15 laptops that are sat up as a computer lab for participants at MIAG’s facility.

The objective of the Digital Literacy 101 Program is to train individuals on the necessary digital literacy skills to participate in the labour market and everyday life effectively. The program follows the Region of Peel curriculum recommendations and includes learner assessment plan for students. It is delivered in-person to offer a practical learning opportunity for students to practice learnings and to do in-class assignments. Also it is delivered online using zoom.

Potential students must complete an intake form to assess their eligibility to participate in the program. Priority is given to social assistance recipients, then to low-income people who reside in Peel.
